A retrospective analysis of the efficacy of Oncept vaccine for the adjunct treatment of canine oral malignant melanoma

Oral malignant melanoma (OMM) in the dog is often locally aggressive with a high metastatic potential and there are few treatment options that have been demonstrated to improve outcome of this disease. The purpose of this study was to determine whether adjunctive treatment with the Oncept melanoma vaccine affected the outcome of dogs with OMM that had achieved loco‐regional cancer control. Medical records from 45 dogs that presented to the Animal Cancer and Imaging Center were reviewed, including 30 dogs with stage II and III disease. Dogs that received the vaccine did not achieve a greater progression‐free survival, disease‐free interval or median survival time than dogs that did not receive the vaccine.

Placement of bone screws in a standing horse for treatment of a fracture of the greater tubercle of the humerus

A mature Thoroughbred gelding that was used as a high level jumper presented for evaluation of a nonweightbearing forelimb lameness following a fall. Radiographs revealed a complete, noncomminuted, minimally displaced sagittal fracture of the greater tubercle. Supporting limb laminitis was a major concern in the short term based on the severe lameness at presentation. Open reduction with internal fixation was chosen over stall rest in an attempt to more rapidly return the weightbearing function to the limb. The procedure was performed standing and 3 bone screws were placed standing in an attempt to avoid implant or catastrophic bone failure that can accompany recovery from general anaesthesia. The day following surgery the lameness was significantly improved as the horse was able to bear some weight on the heel. The gelding was discharged 5 days following surgery and was fully weightbearing at the walk. Six months following surgery the horse was free of lameness and resumed training. This report describes our experience and rationale in placing bone screws in a standing horse for treatment of a greater tubercle fracture.

内导叶滚筒式收鱼机设计与实验

针对深海域网箱养殖人工收鱼效率低、且劳动强度大,吸鱼泵等传统收鱼装置鱼损率高、需要装备大功率发电系统、不适合中小型收鱼船作业等问题设计了内导叶滚筒式收鱼机。对该装置的主体结构进行仿真,确定了主体结构发生最大等效应力和应力集中的位置,根据仿真结果进一步优化结构,并试制了实验装置。通过实验得出最优控制方案,即在倾角10°、转速15.3r/min情况下,有效输送量与功耗比最优,且滚筒在不同倾角下最优转速为15r/min,实验鱼损率为0.1%,满足用户要求。该装置能在保证一定收鱼效率的同时降低鱼损率,适合中小型渔船收鱼作业。

基于介电特性的苹果内部品质预测方法研究

快速无损检测水果糖度、硬度及含水率等内部品质对确定水果的营养价值和分级销售有着重要意义。为准确利用理化特征对苹果内部口感品质进行无损分级,提出了一种基于随机森林的苹果内部口感品质多语义分类模型。采用苹果的介电参数作为随机森林模型的输入,基于TF-IDF算法对苹果内部口感品质进行分类,依据介电参数推断苹果的理化特征。实验结果表明:该方法可有效实现对苹果内部口感品质的多语义分类,均方根误差为0. 51,可为水果等农产品的无损检测及分级提供参考。     

印度南瓜延伸因子基因CmEF1a的克隆与分析

真核生物延伸因子(EF1a)是一种重要的内参基因,广泛应用于RT-qPCR中。为获得印度南瓜EF1a基因,开发合适的荧光定量PCR引物,本研究通过转录组测序和RT-PCR方法获得了1条长度为1 701 bp的cDNA,命名为CmEF1a,GeneBank登录号:MH310443。结果表明,CmEF1a包含1个ORF,大小为1 344 bp,编码447个氨基酸,理论分子大小约为49.30 kD, 蛋白质等电点为9.14。Wolf Psort分析发现, CmEF1a蛋白亚细胞定位于细胞质基质中;Motif Scan分析显示, CmEF1a蛋白质的氨基酸序列2~432位和322~430位分别为EF1结构域和EF1的C端保守结构域。同源性分析表明, CmEF1a基因编码的蛋白质与同为葫芦科的中国南瓜、甜瓜和黄瓜同源蛋白的相似性达到99%,具有高度的保守性。在此基础上设计了1对RT-qPCR引物, 该引物具有较高的特异性和扩增效率, 在印度南瓜不同组织和不同胁迫处理下均能稳定表达, 适合作为内参基因应用于印度南瓜基因表达研究。本研究结果为印度南瓜重要功能基因的表达分析及相关分子调控机制的研究奠定了一定的理论基础。     

一种车载双目视觉系统的标定

为了在线感知汽车行驶前方道路,搭建车载双目视觉系统,从不同拍摄位置和角度获取多组标定板图像。利用传统标定方法,在MATLAB应用程序Stereo Camera Calibrator工具箱中对图像进行校准及合理性验证,最终得到左右两个相机需要标定的内参数和外参数。标定结果将为视觉系统在车辆环境感知方面的研究奠定基础。
